BUILD NEW FROM OLD

ECOCycle is Holcim’s platform for sustainable building, designed to turn demolition waste into the foundations of tomorrow’s cities. Cement is the second most used resource on the planet after water, but its production is one of the world’s biggest contributors to carbon emissions. By re-using materials from demolished buildings, ECOCycle allows concrete, cement and aggregates to be given a second life. Reducing the industry’s carbon footprint and making construction more sustainable.

Holcim, the world's largest manufacturer and supplier of sustainable construction and building materials, wants this groundbreaking technology to pushes the boundaries of circular construction.

Our campaign for ECOCycle is built around the idea of “Build New From Old”, with a supporting message of “Build Cities From Cities.” The creative brings this to life through a circular world device that shows how an old city can be broken down into raw materials and rebuilt as something greener, stronger, and better for the planet.

To reach the people who can make the biggest difference – property owners, architects and builders – the campaign appears across outdoor, print, digital and social platforms. It also comes to life on hoardings and billboards at construction sites that are already using ECOCycle technology, making the innovation tangible where it matters most.

The ECOCycle campaign is rolling out across Europe – including Germany, France, Switzerland, the UK, Spain and Romania – and reaching global markets in North America, Mexico, Canada, the US and even as far as Australia. Wherever it runs, the message is clear: the future of construction is circular.

“The creation of ECOCycle is one of many projects where we are supporting Holcim in their journey to net-zero. It is fantastic to know that we are helping to reinvent the construction industry, so it can play a part in reducing global carbon emissions and building a net-zero world.”
