To celebrate 100 years of Green Spot Whiskey, WMH&I partnered with SPOT Whiskies (Pernod Ricard | Irish Distillers) and YesColours to reimagine the brand’s iconic green paint daub, a mark that has signified craftsmanship and quality for a century. The result: Green Spot 100 Year Anniversary Limited Edition 10-Year-Old, a special release from Spot Whiskey that honours its heritage with a modern twist.
A Legacy in Colour
In 1925, the Mitchell family marked their whiskey casks with a daub of paint to denote age, green for 10 years. That simple act gave birth to Green Spot. A hundred years later, that same mark of quality inspired the vivid brushstroke that now sweeps across the anniversary bottle, a symbol of the brand’s enduring commitment to craft and character
Working with YesColours, the award-winning UK sustainable paint brand, Spot Whiskey developed a bespoke Green Spot paint shade. The collaboration brings the brand’s heritage full circle: from a painted cask to a modern celebration of colour, sustainability and storytelling.
Designing the Anniversary Edition
WMH&I’s packaging design captures the artistry and authenticity of the original daub, transforming it into a bold, expressive brushstroke, elevated with gold accents to mark the moment. The bottle becomes a canvas where heritage meets modern design, paying tribute to 100 years of whiskey-making tradition.
